Gas explosions are the natural disasters in our country. The using of optical fiber sensor for mine gas concentration in real-time monitoring can deduce the incidence of the disasters. And optical signal receiver and signal processing technology are the major parts in the optical fiber sensor.This article introduced the principles, characteristics and work characteristics of spectral absorption in the optical fiber gas sensor. I carried out in-depth research in the signal processing techniques of optical fiber methane sensor which base on the phase-locked amplifier. The system is capable of receiving and processing signals of 2.5MHz. The signal processing system with wide measuring range, good stability, fast response and long life have been proposed. The system can be used in a variety of structures of the gas sensor as signal processing. Optical fiber methane sensor system stability of the 5 hours to 0.96%.The minimum concentration of methane gas which the system can detect is 8.9%. The signal modulation frequency of optical fiber methane sensors in general is 1MHz or less, so the signal processing system is in the domestic advanced level.
