With the rapid development of network technology, remote education has been paid more and more attention. In the remote education mode, teachers and students are separated from each other and can not communicate directly. The students have to study by themselves. Question answer system on web makes it easy for students to answer their questions and get rid of the barrier in their study. It plays an important role in the communication between teachers and students, and in helping students to get information. It can not be replaced. So the research of question answer system on web is very important to improve both the remote education and the education in China.There are many deficiencies in the existing question answer systems on web. Firstly, the system lack Semantic information. some question answer systems perform the asking and answering process by Email. Though in other question answer systems, some new technologies such as key words matching, segmenting and searching are used, they are still short of semantic understanding. So the effect is not very well. Secondly, the research on existing Q/A system basically is limited to the single site that leads the resources limits to the local library. So the system's resource sharing is poor and the system is unable to carry on uniform Coordination and management.To solve this problem of above, this paper proposes a answeing grid system based on domain ontology. On the one hand, The system includes many answering grid nodes that connect together by using grid technology, which realizes resource sharing of each node . On the other hand, the system constructs the domain ontology based on two level of distributional ontology model, which can describe the concepts and the relations of them. It contains abundance knowledge andsemantic relations of this field. It is impossible to solve the problem of semantic understand insufficiency in a certain extent through applying these domain ontology to answering grid system.The paper firstly introduces the grid technology and ontology modeling theory. On the base of the research a answering grid system architecture based on domain ontology is put forward in the flowing chapter. Moreover, we analyze the Q/A flow and the advantages of the system, and we design the key implement technology about the system. Then taking the NanHua University provincial level excellent curriculum "University Computer Foundation" partial content branch as the example ,we elaborate detailedly domain ontology construction of two level of distributional grid ontology model. Finally we sum up the topic research work and point out the further research expectation.
