With the growth of the requirement of mixture ore's quality of sintering technique in small and medium steel enterprises, manual work estimate which has been used in the past can not suffice the requirement. The question that how to control the fluctuation of the component in smallest area, and reduce the total cost has put forward. There have been a lot of optimization methods to solve the mixture ore's raw material proportion calculation problem at present, but most of these methods have some limitation. As a novel simulated evolutionary algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) has many merits as positive feedback, robust, parallel compute, coordination, soit is very suitable to solve the mixture ore's raw material proportion calculation problem and accords with the tendency that mixture ore's raw material proportion calculation algorithm evolves into intelligent and simulated evolutionary.1. To overcome the default of stagnation and convergence speed slow, an improved ACO strategy is present. We proposed Candidate City Table and added Saving Heuristics Information into the state transition rule of ACO to reduce the computing costs.2. To overcome the default of Ant Colony System (ACS) and Max-Min Ant System (MMAS), a three level pheromone update algorithm and 2-opt local search strategy is presented.3. Mixing with genetic algorithm, to solve the mixture ore's raw material proportion calculation problem better, the paper proposed an adaptive ant colony algorithm; and the simulation result shows that the improved ant colony algorithm can search the better solution more quickly.4. With C++ exploitation platform, based-on improved ant colony algorithm, we design a mixture ore's raw material proportion calculation software. The software can help controllers to optimize the mixture ore's raw material proportion, fill the technique's requirement, greatly reduced the cost of company, and make some contribution to the development of steel enterprise's raw material mixing system in the theoretical research and the applied value.
