Ultrasound in Medicine is acoustic, medical and electronic engineering technology that combines an emerging science. In modern clinical medicine occupies an important position. Ultrasonic imaging is widely used in the clinic diagnosis for its advantages of being non-invasive, no-pain, real-time and convenient. Now, more than 25% medical imaging studies is related with ultrasonic imaging. This subject combination of new ultrasound technology, biomedical engineering, computer vision and other disciplines to study the latest developments in ultrasound medical images of the cutting-edge technology. This paper is divided into three sections. First is assessment of left ventricular torsional deformation by Doppler tissue imaging. The second is use optical flow method to track of myocardial region-of-interest in MCE. The last part is based on the S transform, propose a time-frequency filtering method and apply it in MCE.Left ventricular (LV) torsion is a sensitive indicator of LV performance. It is well established that LV torsion is more sensitive to changes in both regional and global LV function than LV ejection fraction. Therefore, assessment of LV torsion represents an interesting approach for quantifying LV function. This subject uses Doppler tissue imaging method to assessment the left ventricular torsion. Based on the short axis view of basal and apical, we calculate the left ventricular torsion by measuring the velocity of Septal,Lateral,Anterior and posterior. This method made non-invasive measurement of left ventricular torsion applicable.Myocardial Contrast Echocardiography (MCE) is a new method for assessing myocardium microcirculation. The quantitative analysis of MCE is the focus on disciplines research, and the time-intensity curve is the most popular way. In this case, as the heart moves, a fixed ROI position does not represent the same structures along cardiac cycle. To obtain reliable intensity curves, the position of the ROI must be tracked to compensate for the heart motion. We use optical flow method for this purpose. Clinicians evaluated that automatic alignment by optical flow method might increase the accuracy of quantification, which can drive a widespread clinical acceptance of this technique.High-quality images of MCE is a key for the quantitative analysis of MCE, but there are speckle noise in MCE, which decrease the spatical resolution and cause negative impact on image. Based on the S transform, we proposed a time-frequency filtering method which de-noising effectiveness was proved by the simulations. And the successful application of this method in the myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE) demonstrated its further validity and clinical application.
