In the course of the evolution of communication network towards Next Generation Network(NGN), IP carrying network technology has been widely used and gradually introduced into the fixed network and mobile core network. At present many countries have entered the era of 3G, and China has 3G license .It business development and testwork have been carrying on intensely. Many telecom companies began to build IP carrying network to a nation extent,which is the first applicationg of IP carrying network technique in the conmmunications will lead china into the era of 3G. With the new services carried on IP carrying network more increase, the requirements of its stabilization more increase, that need us further to research how to advance the stabilization of IP carrying network and to conduct experiments.At first , the paper discusses the background,the present status of the development and the principle of IP carrying network technique; analyzes its core technical structure and the stable technique from some aspects such as the business of the IP carrying network, routing protocol,and the services; puts forward its requirements of stability and technical key points. And based on analyzing the stability technology of IP carrying network, it launchs the tasks integrateing the application of WDM link, then raises the link layer stability of IP carrying network to improve its stability.Based on the results of the study above, we deeply analyze the various factors that affect the stability of IP carrying network link layer, put the project into effect with the equipment more perfect in both domestic and foreign combined with practice, take the detailed measures to raise the stability of IP carrying network link layer,and carries out the sufficient verification through practice.1. It simplies the structures and flows of correlative equipments, build up the model of WDM link layer stability of IP carrying network equipment,and design some metheds to improve the link layer stability of EP carrying network.2. From analyzing and studying all the factors that affect the link layer stability of EP carrying network, we find the five main relevant reasons: 1) The unnormability of the coordination between the transmission retation and the data equipment; 2) The difference of the clock mode between the transmission WDM system and the SDH system; 3) The low sensitivity of the data equipment to the transmission retation; 4) The unnormability of the gate threshold of the error code of the data equipment; and 5) The reducing speed of network protocol.3. It also puts forward the raising methods to improve the stability of IP carrying network equipment WDM link layer; establishs the reasonable sensitivity to meet the requirement of the network and business; speeds up the reducing speed of the network protocol; raises the error-code threshold of the equipment connecting mouth; uses the proper clock mode; optimizes error-code threshold of the transmission and the rotating mechanism; and further raises the stability of the WDM link layer of IP carrying network equipment through implement.4. From bringing into effects of correlative equipments to further raise the stability of WDM link of IP carrying network, it realizes to upgrade the technology of stability of IP carrying network, and forms the norms tried out in enterprises and then spread and tested throughout the whole country; at the same time promotes the enterprises producing the relavent equipment to optimize the hardware technique; and improves the stability of IP carrying network in full scale.
