| Since Email birthed in 1971, there hava been more than 30 years. In the film of 80's, Email was he most representative of the high-tech lenses. With the development of Internet technology,Email has become an ordinary way of communication in working and living.In this paper, it gives the definiton of Email from the angel of concept at first. It has three meanings: information, communication and software system, which are the three subjects of the studies. Email is digital information which is transfer by Communication system runging on the computer network; Email is a collection of the implementation of information communication technical system; Email is a collection of software and related Protocol which is a complete implementation of user agent (Message User Agent, MUA), transfer agent (Message Transfer Agent, MTA), delivery agent(Message Delivery Agent). Email is a combination of information and communication, which is equivalent to combination of letters and telephone. It is widely used in formal organization frame, is the communication media of the organization, is also part of business. Both are integrated in "business process" of the organization, being performance as "information flow". These two points are Email filling management foundation and starting point: policy development and application, as well as hardware and software configurationshould take account these two aspects.Email has the value of evidence and intelligence, which is the theory derivation Email filling management.
