With the deep development of the construction of hospital information system, many domestic large-scale hospitals are now updating their information systems. After being built, however, most of them fail as a result of improper technique solution , and the reinvestment will heavy the hospital' s economic burden. Hence, the meaning of constructing clinic digital system has been not only to input and save data, but also to make the system have excellent scalability and load-balancing ability as well as dynamic adaptability to assistant hospital to realize persistent , steady and sustainable development in the long term.The clinic information system of Shandong provincial hospital is a typical example of large-scale hospital clinic information system. This thesis analyzes some common problems existing in the hospital information system nowadays having the construction of Shandong provincial hospital' s clinic information system in the back ground, and gives a very comprehensive explanation of choosing technology solution and the solution of key technical problems in the process.The system in this thesis utilizes C0M+ component technology to realize the three-tier architectures so that system has better scalability and load-balancing ability. It analyzes and designs all use-case diagrams for each sub-systems by using object-oriented method as well as UML(the Universal Modeling Language). In addtion, it defines the functional architecture and business sequence diagram exactly and clearly. In the aspect of database design, it makes the conceptual design of database via E-R diagram first and then describes the relationship among database tables. The application of electronic eseal technology solves security problem of E-Prescription, and automatic update function makes the client update program files without manual intervention, which promotes the system' s easy service. After using magcard system, the long waiting queue with disturbing the clinic for a long time has disappeared and has promoted the efficiency of seeing a doctor greatly. Moreover, a variety of query and statistic as well as printing report forms functions give the system the ability of aid decision making to some extent. Besides, the application of WorkFlow techneque has greatly enhanced its dynamic adaptability. Last but not least, the application of integrated platform has successfully tackled the thorny problem of heterogeneous data transmission between clinic information system and other systems.This thesis mainly talks about three key problems during system realization, and gives solutions as follows:Firstly, E-prescription is an important part in hospital information, as it not only relates to the security of prescription, but also to the design of business process. Through applying electronic eseal technology, the system has successfully solved the security of E-prescription, and realized the design and control of business process by defining transformation rules of prescription status.Secondly, business process designed by some of domestic large-scale hospital information systems is often a simple mapping of the real ones and unable to meet the dynamic changes. Considering the special social status of hospitals, a workflow engine based on relational database as well as a back compensation mechanism based on status has been proposed by using workflow techneque in this thesis, which can remarkablely impove the dynamic adaptability of the system.Last but not least, outpatient information system, as an indispensable part of hospital information system, must have close relationship with external systems. Transmission of information among different systems with different data formats and operating environment is likely to be impeded. The system has overcome the difficulty of heterogeneous data transmission with outside systems as well as external systems access problems through using the conception of integrated platform.Through testing, all targets including system response times and load-balancing ability have reached the design goal and now system is in good running conditions. In view of the current situation that standards are not even in domestic hospital information construction, the solution in this thesis can be considered as a valuable reference to the similar scale hospital information system.
