The lodging of RoF(Radio over fiber) is to enhance the utilization of frequency and to cut down the cost of outlying base station. Along with the study of RoF, the communication system based on it has the advantage of the abundant transmission bandwidth, the seamless coverage, the big capacity and the low loss, etc. It makes RoF a spacious room for development in the future 3G and 4G communications.Using one fiber to transmit RoF signal of only one channel is a huge wasting of the fiber's bandwidth. In optical communication technology, WDM technology is mature enough to transmit multi-channel signals in one fiber. The application of WDM makes the frame of network briefer. So the WDM-RoF system would be the trend of the future development. In this paper, Optical Carrier Source for the WDM-RoF System Based on the Photonic Crstal Fiber and the Superstructure Fiber Bragg Grating is designed. The work can be divided into three parts:(1)The study of supercontinuum generation theory is done. It includes the inducing of Nonlinear Schrodinger equation, the numerical analyzing and the emulation. The mechanism and the factor which could affect the generation of supercontinuum spectrum have been theoretically analyzed.(2) The study of the structure of the photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is done. The nonlinear factors and dispersion of PCF are related to the structure of PCF (the size of the aperture, space between the aperture, etc.). I do the design frame to achieve the nonlinear parameter and dispersion we want. In this part, I start from theoretic emulation analysis, then I have done the experiment to generate supercontinuum spectrum in PCF.(3)The study of the characteristic of SSFBG is done to incise the supercontinuum spectrum. I have started from Coupled-Mode theory. Then, I have used the numerical method (transmission matrix method) to modulate the spectrum of SSFBG. From the modulation, I find how the physical parameter works. In the end, I have done the experimental proof to sustain my theoretic work. In this paper, I have done the theoretic analysis, the modulation research and experimental validation of supercontinuum and its incision. In the experiment, I have worked out the optical carrier source of ten channels for WDM-RoF. All I have done make a great sense to the development of WDM-RoF system.
