This paper is about the designing of an M-ary orthogonal spread spectrum communication system. Time duplex is adopted in this system to realize point to point communications including date and video, using matched filter and Rake receiver method. This paper is concentrated in the designing and realization of the base band module of the DS part.Firstly, the history, the priority and the principles of spread spectrum communication are introduced, at the same time, the tools used in simulation are introduced. In the second chapter, this paper introduces the basic system design knowledge, such as duplex mode, demodulator means, spread spectrum, as well as the several types of spreading codes. Also Rayleigh fading in the mobile channel and the solution of our communication system: diversity reception(Rake reception) was introduced. From Chapter IV, we introduced the system design and implementation. First of all, the system of technical parameters and design requirements was introduced, and then following the system requirements ,determine the system design. Followed by the specific design of communication system downlink closed-end originator and the description of the various functional modules of the send and receive modules. This paper focuses on the design of receiver module.Chapter V did the BER of the M-ary Orthogonal Signals with additive white Gaussian noise, and then analyzed the BER of signals in Rayleigh Fading Channel with Rake reception and without Rake receiver. Finally, the new combined method of Rake receiver and its BER simulation analysis were introduced.
