The bank card transaction system is an extremely important component that composes the bank business computer system. Usually bank card transaction system relies on experienced system administrator to locate the failure for troubleshooting, but with the great achievement of centralization for the ABC bank's whole national data and the enhanced awareness of offering 7×24 reliable service, there's increasing demand for the bank to resolve those troubles on the bank's production computer system in less time. Therefore it is necessary to find out a robust failure-diagnosis method to help system administrator quickly solve the problems, ensure the steady working of the bank card transaction computer system and to further improve the bank card service quality.Rough-set-theory mainly focuses on the knowledge expression of the imprecise and uncertain information. In recent years it is rapidly developed in the field of information processing. Since the bank card failure diagnosis also involves inaccurate and imprecise information processing, it is very suitable to apply rough-set-theory on bank card failure diagnosis for research and analysis purpose.In order to design and implement the bank card failure diagnosis system based on rough-set-theory, the research work done in this paper are as follow:1. Research and discuss the content of rough-set-theory knowledge, including basic concept of indiscernible relation, upper approximation, lower approximation, boundary region, continuous attributes discrete and attribute reduction etc.2. Discrete the sample data from the bank card transaction system and make reasonable division of the equivalent class with satisfying discrete effect by using NaiveScaler algorithm. Meanwhile apply the attribute reduction method of discernibility matrix on bank card sample decision-making tables to reduce the table attribute and reduce the size of the table for rule-generate sake.3. On the basis of the research on rough-set-theory and the study of the characteristics of bank card failure, the method to establish the whole skeleton of the bank card failure diagnosis system is proposed, including the system architecture design, function module division and database table design.4.In order to migrate the system more conveniently, the cross-platform dynamic language'Python'is introduced to implement data parsing,data preprocessing and important rough-set disposal module. Meanwhile, uses BOA Constructor GUI is used to develope to implement graphic user interface design and basic functions. The effect of the system is proven by the actual usage and feedback from departments.
