The DF(Direction Finding) system is a very import part not only in Electric Countermeasure system, but also in passive surveillance system . The DF(Direction Finding)system provides conditions for the sytem of locating the source of signal position. The methods of The DF(Direction Finding) system include the most Amplify DF(Direction Finding),Time Difference of Arrival Direct ion Finding,Pulse Amplitude Compare Direction Finding , Inteferometer Direction Finding .How to measure Time Difference of Arrival is the basic of Time Difference of Arrival Direction Finding System . The System has advantanges over the other Direction Finding System in the aspect of acuuracy Direction,wideBand rapidity and illegibility . So it can be used not only in military equipment but also in civilian equipment.The Article discusses upon the theory of the Time Difference of Arrival Direction Finding and analyses the factor of Direction acuuracy . Especially The Article analyses the factor of TDOA which is the important factor to Direction Finding. The Article also discusses tha parameters of signal And advance to reduce the coherence of the channel's Amplitude.Based on the theory of the Time Difference of Arrival Direction Finding, the Article introduces a system and describes the composition of the system,the workmode of the sytem.In the last the Article discusses upon the application of Time Difference of Arrival Direction Finding. The Article analyses the Geometric Dilution of Precision and the accuracy of location of the location system which is used by Time Difference of Arrival Direction Finding. This is a reference for the spread of this technology .
