Nowadays, The Breast Tumor becomes one of the common diseases and the numbers of sufferer is rising rapidly. The early diagnosis of Breast Tumor will have great practical significance to improve the livability of patients. With the obvious advantages of UWB system, such as large information-carrying capacity and accurate positioning at mm-level, this paper focused on the study of imaging method for early diagnosis on Breast Tumor by utilizing the UWB communication.Tumor tissue has stronger scattering effect comparing with normal tissues in the microwave radiation. The text try to carry out modeling and simulation for early tumor by using simulation software HFSS. The simulation result shows that the area of tumor has stronger electric field comparing with the area of normal tissues.As the non-uniform characteristic of the breast tissue, the text used the Finite Element Confocal Imaging Algorithm to do imaging simulation for the early tumor which radius is less than 10mm in the non-uniform breast model, and also gave the algorithm flow. Actualized the simulation by setting appropriate parameters and selecting appropriate numbers of transceiver antennas. The simulation result shows that the UWB Finite Element Confocal Imaging Algorithm is theoretically feasible on the imaging for tumor in the non-uniform breast model.
