The technique of Laser drilling has many advantages for example greatly precise, universally available, highly efficient, low-cost and notable economic benefits of synthesis techniques. Thus it has become one of the key techniques in modern manufacturing field. This thesis made a systematic study of the basic principle of Laser drilling according to the interaction mechanism between Laser and drilled substances. In this thesis, the Finite element analysing software ANSYS was also used to make simulation analysis on temperature field in the process of carbon steel Laser drilling. Thus the distribution of temperature at different times is clear, which provides theory evidence for optimum selection of Laser drilling parameters, helps to shorten Laser drilling test period and cut down test cost. Five kinds of carbon steels (Q235A,20~#, 35~#, 45~* and T10) were selected for use in the test. Numerical-controlled carbon dioxide Laser multi-functional processors were applied to the test of micropore drilling in carbon steel of different thicknesses . A systematic study was distributed to make clear how laser power, impulse length, defocusing amount, repetitive frequency and auxiliary gas influence the upper aperture, the lower aperture and conicity of carbon steel Laser drilling. Analog value and true value were compared and analyzed to validate the feasibility of simulation analysis. Finally we have got the method to select technical parameters for carbon dioxide Laser drilling in carbon steel .It is the first domestic application of double-equation irrepetitive testing method. The analystic result of the systematic study of how laser power, impulse length, defocusing amount and repetitive frequency influence the Laser drilling quality squares with that of computer simulation and testing data analysis, which proves that with double-equation irrepetitive testing method we can make better selection of technical parameters for Laser drilling.
