MIMO-OFDM systems can achieve high data rates over broadband wireless channels and become research hotspot now. Channel estimation is very critical for the implementation of broadband wireless mobile communication systems.In this dissertation, research work involves channel model and channel estimation, among which channel estimation is the main theme. In this paper ,based on the researches of the main character and wirless channel model ,the core principles and technologies of the MIMO and OFDM systems are discussed, the MIMO-OFDM systems are researched.In this paper, we establish conditions for channel identifiab ility and present a blind channel estimation technique based on a subspace approach. The proposed method unifies and generalizes the existing subspace-based methods for blind channel estimation in single-input singl-output OFDM systems to blind channel estimation for MIMO-OFDM systems.In particular,the proposed method obtains accurate channel estima tion and fast convergence. Simulation results illustrate the mean-square error performance of the proposed method .
