Carbon black filled conductive silicone rubber material is a new type of pressure-sensitive material, has excellent mechanical and electrical properties, good flexibility, high resolution. It can be used for the production of flexible tactile sensor. Its conductive mechanism has important significance for further research and practicability of flexible tactile sensor. This article focuses on the conductive mechanism of pressure-sensitive conductive silicone rubber based on the new flexible three-dimensional tactile sensor.This article elaborated on the status and progress of flexible tactile sensor, conductive rubber and its conductive mechanism. The focus of analysis is in the conductive mechanism of pressure-sensitive conductive silicone rubber. The two main theories of the conductivity mechanism were explored: conductive pathway theory and theory of electron tunnel. Two piezoresistive models were set up respectively on the basis of the conductive mechanism theory; the experimental results were also analyzed and discussed. Experimental analyze piezoresistive characteristics of conductive silicone rubber filled with different types of carbon black, different carbon black content received the approach of improving the force sensitivity of pressure-sensitive material.The resistance temperature characteristic of pressure-sensitive conductive silicone rubber was discussed on the theoretical basis of conductive mechanism. Through filled with different types material, the resistance temperature characteristic experiments of conductive composite were introduced and analyzed. Some methods to improve the resistance temperature characteristic were put forward. Finally by the use of micro-structure analysis of pressure-sensitive conductive silicone rubber material, the conductive mechanism was further verified and some factors of the production process that impact the electrical properties of pressure-sensitive silicone rubber were given.
