Research And Implementation Of The Information Eliminating Technology On Storage Medium

In recent years,information security has become a very serious problem and Institute of National Security Science and Technology has begun the project of developing "Secure Deletion of Data from Magnetic Memory" since 2008.In the project,we plan to develop a equipment to delete the secret information on the disk.My job is designing the hardware structure and developing the software. I take chare of choosing the hardware devices,designing the structure of the software,and I study the Algorithmic of erasure and the knowledge of the disk,besides I designed the struct of the software and the interface,what's more I designed the method for testing .I work hard about a year,and I have developed a equipment named "Electronic document shredder" and a software based on Windows OS named "Information erasure software"."Electronic document shredder" is the first product which is totally according with the national standards of confidentiality. It could operate many disks at the same time which ensures the security of the information and shortens the processing time.Besides,the equipment provides a friendly man-machine interface so that the user could operate the equipment easily."Information erasure software" is the complement product of the "Electronic document shredder". It runs on personal computer and is capable of erasing the information of file and hard disk partition. This product has multiple functions. It supports both NTFS and FAT32 formats and compatible with Vista operation system.
