As the people's life getting better and better, the awareness of security also increasing. Surveillance technology, especially video surveillance technology has been widely applied in all area, and become a effective way of controlling and managing potential safety hazard. Video surveillance system contains rich information, intuitive, easy to read, it is become an important part of safety & security system.Current video surveillance systems are highly limited in providing global awareness on a grid of 2D displays. While there are numerous camera videos displayed or the surveillance area a mostly similar, it may cause trouble for the operator. VFL Immersive surveillance system is a concept that based on traditional video surveillance system. It is also an augmented reality system for security and monitoring systems that deploy numerous cameras to monitor a large scale campus or an area. The operator can aware the whole surveillance area and by browsing in the virtual 3D environment, it will have a effect of simulating the real environment.Different from virtual reality technology, VFL(VideoFlashLight) Immersive surveillance system "illuminates" a static 3D model with live video textures from static cameras.an environment. The system exploits the real-time rendering capabilities and renders live videos from various parts of an environment co-registered with the model by calculating the parameters of virtual camera.The architecture of the VFL Immersive surveillance system is been designed to two parts, DigitalServer and VFL.The moduls of DigitalServer MediaDB modul, NetFilters, GraphSeeker and DSS remote Control has also been designed. And a brief rendering arithmetic is been researched and been given out. Associated XML code to load the module the entire system applied to the specific projects.
