The biometric cryptosystem can recover the secret distributed to a user based on the user's biometric data.In this paper, we improve Hao's key protection scheme based on biometric data. We employ the Reed Muller code and Algebraic Geometric code based on Hermitian Curve instead of the Hadamard code and Reed Solomon code in Hao's scheme. Consequently, our scheme enjoys a higher information rate and better error correcting ability. In our scheme, the key can be recovered from the user's biometric data and the error correction information stored in the tamper-resistant smart card.In the meantime, we proposed a (k, n) threshold biometric group signature scheme. A group composed of n users can authenticate their identities so as to represent the group to sign a signature with some users'biometric data. In our scheme, we assume that there is a group with n users. Each user's secret is stored in a tamper-resistant smart card. The user uses his biometric data to authenticate him to the smart card. After a successful authentication, the smart card is able to sign a message for the user. If k out of n or more users can provide their legitimate biometric data, then the group secret key can be recovered. And combining the k user's signatures will generate the group signature of the message.
