Research On Domain Ontology And The Application In Mobile Question Answering

An ontology is an explicit specification of a sharing conception,it becomes a hot spot in both computer and related fields in recent years,it has been widely used in various domains such as knowledge engineering,knowledge management,system modeling,information processing,digital libraries,natural language understanding etc.The goal is to capture knowledge in related fields,provide the common understanding of domain knowledge,identify kernel terms that commonly recognized in domain areas,and gives an explict relationship definition of these terms on various formal models levels.In the beginning,ontology and related conceptions are briefly described,including the research status on ontology,characteristic and development of ontology language and construction methods.The idea of software engineering is used in constructing domain ontology,the idea of using domain Ontology as the basis of seamantic understanding is pointed out and complex semantic relationships are explicitly experessed in domain ontology.To help elimiting the ambigous of natural language understanding,technology of semantic similarity computing based on ontology is used as well as methods including Chinese words segmentation, question partition,pattern model and ontology building.Then according to ontology theories domain ontology of bus station and ontology of computer network course are constructed seprately in owl with editor tool Protege,and then applications of them are analised.Similarity of stations conception is calculated after the possible phrases which demonstrate bus stations are extracted form the query sentence.In order to get the stations name precisely,technology of semantic similarity computing based on ontology and edit distance computing is used combined with surface features information such as the phrase shape and words order,then the Mobile QA(question answering) system for bus query based on the natural language is realized.Natural language processing technology as well as question pattern transfer method is used to realizehe course mobile QA system based on course domain ontology.This system broke through time and space limitations,and widely expanded the manner of resources and resources retain.Enable the students to require high qualitified related courses efficiently,and it becomes a useful complement to traditional classroom teaching.The theory of Ontology is researched and applied to two QA systems.Bus station ontology and course ontology are built separately.Thanks to bus station domain ontology,bus query system owns intelligent features such as fault tolerant,synonym recognition and ambiguous elimination.Mobile course QA system also gets a higher precision and meet the needs of the user's require better compared with the traditional system.The experimental results show that QA systems have higher precision,and the applications of domain ontology have achieved a desired purpose.
