With the development of microwave remote sensing technology and computer science, applications of microwave remote sensing data becomes more and more widely.Because of commercial software is expensive,not well for specific applicatons,and can not support new types of microwave remote sensing data timely,which limits the microwave remote sensing data in various application sectors greatly.The way of using software engineering methodology to design and develop the integration applications system of multi-source microwave remote sensing data based on IDL(Interactive Data Language) can achive the demands of processing multi-source microwave remote sensing data,applications of land and ocean and so on efficiently.The design process of the integration applications system of multi-source microwave remote sensing data was given in this paper in detail.Full text was organized by main contens as new high-resolutin SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) pre-processing subsystem and ocean wind fields retrieval subsystem based on SAR data.Firstly,it analyzed microwave remote sensing data.Then expatiated on the basis of processing microwave remote sensing data from three parts which arepre-processing of the new high-resolutin SAR data,ocean wind fields retrieved from SAR data and IDL(the system development language).After analyzed the needs of integration applications system of multi-source microwave remote sensing data and in determing IDL development platform,it presented the design process in detail and the development of prototype system in the end.In a word,main job in this paper as follows:1,To design and develop the integration applications system of multi-source microwave remote sensing data prototype system based on IDL development platform and present the design scheme of system by software engineering methodology.2,In view of different microwave remote sensing data products' ognization format are not the same as each other.To study different ways of reading and writing different data products,especially reading XML file,reading and writing TIFF file,NetCDF file and SHP file.All for providing standard file fomates for different softeware. 3,To study geometric correction methods of new types of high-resolution SAR data.In the end,we adopted the Rang-Doppler(RD),a direct positioning analysis algorithm,which does not require multiple iterations.4,To study models of ocean wind fields retrieval,based on which we carryed out ocean wind fields retrieved form SAR data and visualization of ocean wind fields.5,In-depth study the methods and technology of IDL and platform based on IDL.We maked fully use of the advantage of IDL to develop the prototype system of the integration applications system of multi-source microwave remote sensing data.The results showed that making use of IDL and its development platform can develope the integration applications system of multi-source microwave remote sensing data quickly and effectively,and it has expansibility and transplant.
