The Network Platform for Science and Technology Infrastructure in Hebei Province (hereinafter referred to as the Network Platform) consists of center website and sub-websites. For the Network Platform, the use of combining centralization and decentralization ensures providing better network services. The center website consists of the portal, the Key Lab Information Network, the Large-scaled Collaborative Scientific Instruments Shared Network and the Experimental Animals Information Network. The sub-websites including the Scientech Documentation Service Information Network, the Natural Scientech Resources and Scientific Data Sharing Information Network and the Network of commercialization of research findings are distributed in various departments. In order to better serve scientific workers and improve the quality and efficiency of service, we integrate the services in the websites into the portal and develop the Public Service System for the Network Platform.The key to the Public Service System for the Network Platform is how to integrate various applications to offer services in a synergistic manner. The Public Service System based on lightweight J2EE multi-layer enterprise architecture is implemented in the use of the current popular technology Web Service. It is a system with a rational layout, advanced technology and complete functions to meet the needs of users.This paper firstly analyzes the background and significance of project, confirms project specifications and the key issues during design and development; Secondly, this paper puts forward an extended lightweight J2EE five-layer architecture with security strategy, based on the research of distributed J2EE three-layer architecture with WEB service interface and Web Service technology; Thirdly, this paper gives a detailed analysis and function design by using UML Use Case diagrams and Sequence diagrams, shows the key Class diagrams and data tables, and elaborates the implementation procedure with an example of the module of user management; Finally, this paper summarizes the achievements obtained, and takes a view of the next step necessary to continue in-depth study and the work to be done.Work that has been done is as follows:1. Based on the study of the distributed three-layer structure with WEB service interface, this paper studies several lightweight containers such as Tapestry, Spring and Hibernate.2. Based on the study of XFire, this paper gives a design diagram of lightweight J2EE architecture, that is, Tapestry + Spring [XFire] + Hibernate + MySQL.3. Based on the study of Web Service, the paper implements the interfaces of web service and integration of resources. To ensure the information in the process of transmission is not theft and adulterated, the information is digitally signed and encrypted following the standard of WS-Security.4. This paper analyzes the demand and functions in use of UML Use Case diagrams, makes an outline design, produces the Sequence diagram and conceptive Class diagram for the business, and meanwhile designs the interfaces to implement the integration.5. Based on the outline design, the paper shows detailed Class diagrams and main data tables.6. The paper implements the Public Service System for the Network Platform in use of the lightweight J2EE architecture which is Tapestry + Spring [XFire] + Hibernate + MySQL.At present, this system has run into trial operation, and the effect is fine.
