In the Measurement and Control System, Measurement and Control software (MCS) implements the computers operation to the entire system. As the core part of the Measurement and Control System, MCS plays a more and more important role, and the development technology also has great effects on the development direction of Measurement and Control System. Traditional technology brings on the limited expansibility and universality of Measurement and Control System, which is difficult to meet the changing needs of measurement or adapt to the rapid market competition.With the continuous improvement and development of technology in the field of Measurement and Control System and computer software design methods, the design of computer-based MCS has made significant progress. In order to adapt to the current development trends of Measurement and Control System and meet the requirements of measurement in the application, this thesis introduces the modularization theory of Virtual Instrument and Component technology to use for reference, and thus designs a kind of Measurement and Control software based on Component technology and XML technology. MCS is decomposed into a software framework and a number of components of independent functions. According to the practical needs of measurement, different components are assembled in the software framework, which constructs a specific system. The method enhances the expansibility and universality of MCS, and has important directive meaning on theory and reference value on practice.In the dissertation, the following problems are studied: the principle, structure, design and implementation of Component-based MCS.Firstly, the principle and the entire structure of Component-based MCS are analyzed. Moreover, the software is divided into two parts: User-Customizing level and Function-Implementing level. The design principle and implement method of Component-based MCS are given in the thesis.Secondly, a Customizing System based on User-Customizing level is provided for users. Due to XML technology, the constructing method of User Interface and parsing approach of the information table are discussed in the thesis, which implements the design of Customizing System of Component-based MCS.Thirdly, different functions of MCS are classified and encapsulated into corresponding component libraries in terms of Component technology. The thesis introduces the constructing method of Integrated Development Platform based on Function-Implementing level.Finally, the thesis provides several experimental cases of Component-based MCS, which verifies the expansibility and universality of the software designed in the thesis.It's proved that the Measurement and Control System constructed by Component-based MCS can fulfill the flexible and diverse requirements from users. In this dissertation, the proposed design method might provide a new approach for the development of MCS.
