In the modern information time, Internet technology is rapidly developing. Traditional IPv4 network cannot sustain our daily increased new requirements. That's why next generation network (IPv6) comes out. Whether services under IPv4 are compatible to IPv6 is great concerned. As one of the most important network services, naming service is always the first to be affected.There are lots of controversies among traditional naming service currently. Some people argue that traditional naming service has already satisfied all the application requirements, whilst the others argue that naming service should be redeveloped for new application features. The author convinced that tree based domain naming system cannot fulfill the needs in IPv6 network caused by millions of thousands records stored in the system. However peer‐to‐peer system has the instinct of resistivity for intensive data processing system. In recent years foreign researchers proposed that Internet naming system should be rebuild base upon peer‐to‐peer technologies. Nevertheless, current Peer‐to‐peer systems not only have some disadvantages on distance wrap issue, but also research on reliability demonstrated that peer‐to‐peer structures are not feasible method to naming system. Moreover, some researchers argue that naming system in peer‐to‐peer structure is ridiculers.In this dissertation, through analysis of traditional naming service system and peer‐to‐peer system, the author got the positive evidence about the availability of naming service upon peer‐to‐peer infrastructures. The author compared the difference working method between IPv4 naming service and IPv6 naming service. Then establish implementation of naming system upon peer‐to‐peer infrastructures. The new system retains multi‐layer based infrastructure or naming system, and involves peer‐to‐peer infrastructure restrict in autonomous system. In addition the author made some critical changes to selected peer‐to‐peer method, thus leaded to self healing rate had some improvement.
