In this paper, we use the chaotic property of sensitive dependence on initial conditions, which is by acting on chaotic detector, a small signal can cause a transition between the states of the system from the chaotic and periodic. And by judging the systematic phase transition of chaotic system, the weak ultrasonic signal can be distinguished from the environmental noise for vehicle clearly and successfully.In this paper, it firstly builds the detection mathematic model of chaotic oscillator detection system. And on this base, it has seperatelly reseached the relative characteristic properties of chaotic oscillator detection for weak signal, the weak signal detection algorithm using intermittent chaotic theory of Duffing oscillator, and the calculation of the Lyapunov exponent which is one of the most important characteristic quantities in chaos states judgment. According to the system simulation research, chaotic oscillator detection theory is demonstrated to be highly advanced in the respect of noise suppression ability and weak signal detection field, and be able to improve ultrasonic distance measurement accuracy and performance greatly. At last, combining with ultrasonic distance measurement principle and its hardware system, the paper has studied the realization of Duffing oscillator detection algorithm in ultrasonic distance measurement. Thanks to LabVIEW'S good interface characteristic properties, a show platform based on LabVIEW is set up. Through it, we realize the data's collect and memory, signal treatment and alarm show.
