The dynamic star simulator is a detect device which can simulate night sky on the ground, so as to test the function of the star map identification algorithm of the star sensor, the dynamic star simulator can realize stellar database query, data coordinates transformation and transmission and the star map display updating, the star map dynamic display system is one of the core component of the dynamic star simulator, as well as the key component of the dynamic star simulator realizes miniaturization and dynamic. Whether the star sensor calibration precision high or not on the ground, will directly affect working precision of the satellite on the orbit. This paper carries out research on simulating the star map which can be seen in firmament on the ground, solving the star sensor ground simulation and test question.This paper discusses the dynamic star simulator composition, general structure and basic functions, the dynamic star simulator hardware and software designation are thorough studied emphatically, put forward a method of simulate star map with high precision based on liquid crystal light valve. Through the research on the angular distance between stars, detection method of the star magnitude and systematic precision, providing a theoretical basis of design and test the dynamic star simulator.
