Research On Ericsson Telephone Exchange And Programming For Testing

The Ericsson AXE10 digital SPC exchanger has steady performance and advanced technology. Besides this, the exchange technology of AXE10 is improving because of the research and development of Ericsson Company. Hence, the AXE10 is still keeping the top of the world, although the telecommunication technology is growing rapidly.The base station of CME20 series system (BSS) contains BSC and receiving part of base station (BTS). BSC is also implemented by AXE technology. Its bus structure is same as AXE10 switch, the bus structure is easy to be extended but hard to maintain. RBS system is made up of TRI and TG. However, logically speaking, TRI is a remote module belongs to BSC and is controlled by BSC through a control chain. BTS system is made up of all of TGs which is called signal transfer group serves for all of the machines within one cell.Currently, the creation and modification of TG require lots of operation which contains data collection, comparison, modification, verification and so on. That is a big project.In this thesis, it will do some discussion and research on the structure and working principle of Ericsson telephone exchange. According to the discussion and research, it will generate the whole structure, design of interface, implement of function. During doing operation on the switch side, 1 need to write a huge number of commands which may be very long, at the same time, the mistake is easy to come out. If there exists professional software which can generate the whole bunch of commands by only inputting related information of TG, then the working efficiency will be improved obviously. This thesis is based on the structure and principle of Ericsson telephone exchange to program this kind of software. Meanwhile, it will be tested in the real working environment and make sure it will achieve the goal which can shorten the working time and improve working efficiency.
