Real-context Based Computer Application Proficiency Intelligent Examination System

With the development of computer network technology, network-based examination system has become an important application in Computer Assisted Instruction teaching. And along with the growing of campus network construction, a more favorable platform is provided for the examination system application. As the core and difficulty in examination system, Intelligent Test Paper Composing and Automatic Marking technology has become a hot topic of the current research.In this paper, based on the characteristics of Computer Application Proficiency Test of Shanxi Higher Vocational College, an design for Computer Application Proficiency Examination System is proposed on the demand of the users while Intelligent Test Paper Composing and Automatic Marking technologies are described in detail and its own improvement programs are put forward. Meanwhile, the detailed design of the main functions of the system is given and the development process and implementation of the system are described. At last, the work done by the examination system is summarized and more effective approaches for test paper composing are proposed in the paper.The efficiency and the quality of automatic test paper generation are completely decided by the design of item bank and algorithm to extract examination question. It develops subject-database management system according strictly to the mathematical model of classical measurement theory in the design of test paper. The essence of automatic test paper generation is a multi-objective component optimization under certain restraint conditions; the system can search for the best ways according to the restriction conditions, such as coding method, design of genetic and termination conditions. Thus this paper proposes a more favorable algorithm for the implementation of automatic test paper composing, overcoming some of the defects of the traditional genetic algorithm. The traditional marking technology is mainly applied for multi-choice exercises, true or false questions, blank-filling questions. According to the features of computer application proficiency test, this paper aims at the automatic marking of machine test under real context, on the basis of a further research of the micro office and VBA technology.Real-context Based Computer Application Proficiency Examination System, secure, realiable and easy to operate, is an intelligent test system combining modern educational measurement theory, Paper composing technology, marking technology and information technology. Through functional testing, it has been successfully applied to the Computer Application Proficiency Test of Shanxi Higher Vocational Colleges, proved to be cost saving and quality and efficiency improving.
