With the development and application of network technology,the issues of network security has become prominent increasingly . Network security risk assessment has become the key process in solve network security and it has become the research hotspot in this domain.Support Vector Machine(SVM)is one of novel learning machine methods , its advantages are simple structure , strong compatibility,global optimization,lesst raining time and better generalization.So it has superiority to apply it into network security risk assessment.The model based on SVM has introduced in detail.Firstly,the index system of network security risk assessment has established,and collecting samples.Secondly,SVM training algorithm,multi-sorting algorithm,kernel function and parameter have been choosed.Then,the toolbox for SVM has been optimized,and the model based on SVM has established.Finally,SVM has compared with ANN,the validity of SVM has validated through example.
