The Research On Auto Focus Technology Of Video Surveillance

Due to intuition,convenience and rich-content information,Video surveillance is widely used in many occasions.Instead of the auto focus function,traditional digital video surveillance only provides some simple functions,such as,video capturing,storage and distribution etc..With the advent of information times,the requirements of intellectualization and automatization's levels of video surveillance become higher and higher.Auto focus technology is the key to digital video system, which has been widely used in many fields,such as,digital imaging,computer vision,as well as microscopes etc..Many scholars have conducted a great deal of research on auto focus technology,while many problems still need to be solved.In this paper,we have done deeply research on the video surveillance system, introduce and analysis the relevant technical in detail,such as video communication, evaluation of image clarity,automatic search focus etc.1.By studing on evaluation algorithm of image clarity and analyzing the advantages and limitations of traditional algorithms.This paper propose a new algorithm based on window-mode and interested-parameters.The method highlights the important image information,weakened or ignored minor or useless information.The results of experimental data show that the evaluation speed is more rapidly by using the new method and the results is more accurately and reliable.2.After analyzing the relevant principles and hardware features of each module detailed in the monitoring system and designed a prototype system of automatic focusing monitoring based on the computer serial communication by use of computer serial controlling the camera inside the stepper motor to achieve the function of auto focus.Among this system,we proved the superiority of the new algorithm by contrasting new algorithm with traditional algorithm.
