Food sensory assay has been an important aspect in food industry and scientific researches.It has formed not only an independent food discipline but also a frontier field of food science.In recent years,vicious competition in yogurt products has occurred in China's market,leading to homogenization in yogurt types and serious price war among yogurt producers.Once a new product entering to market is not accepted by consumers,it means that yoghurt producers will cost much more in the new product R&D.Dairy enterprises will have to undertake great economic losses due to new product's fail in marketplace.Thus,milk producers in China especially have a great desire to set up a technology to evaluate the acceptance of their products by consumers before the products go into market.China has become the first country in Internet use.Web sites and Internet users are growing in high-speed and the payment in using Internet is declining.In a word,food companies,including dairy producers,are very easy to form a connection between the producers and the consumers.It is feasible to encourage one consumer to give her/his comments to a new product before marketing based on Internet and computers on hardware, software and internet.The information from consumers will help yogurt producers balance the quality of any new product in order to meet consumers' demands.The objectives of this study were to provide an internet-based design for the on-line sensory assay of yoghurt products.This Design used.Net Frameworks 2.0 technology and IIS,code in asp.net 2.0 with AJAX technique,put SQL Server as database to realize the internet dynamic pages program for collecting and processing yoghurt sensory assay data. Then,market expectations of consumer to a new yogurt product were reflected by sensory evaluation data using the neural network technique.Our Design specially provided an encapsulation deployment scheme for enterprise rapid deployment.In practice,our Design was used easily for the sensory assay of any yoghurt products and quickly helped the yogurt enterprise to decide if a new explored product should go to market or not.Our Design was also good in compatibility and load test,and thus easily applied to other food sensory evaluation by appropriate revision.
