The main content of 3D reconstruction includes medical image pretreatment, image segmentation of tissue,isosurface rendering and direct volume rendering.In this paper,I focus on two technology about 3D reconstruction.First,I introduce surface rendering principle and MC algorithm,then give some advice about how to improve the MC algorithm;Second,a primary system of the medical images 3D Reeonstruction is designed based on MITK and VC++.In order to look the 3D model of 2D images,we should reconstruction the 2D images,also we should do some preprocess on the images.We first analyze the typical Marching Cubes algorithm,point out it's defect and give some idea of how to improve it.First,It can integrate image segmentation and MC algorithm.Second,an intersection index table is designed to solve the ambiguous problem in MC.Third,a method of rapidly searching the boundary cube is developed to avoid detecting certain empty cubes.Fourth,using the middle point method,the vertex of triangle can be calculated easily for reducing the computation.Second, using the middle point method,the vertex of triangle can be calculated easily for reducing the computation..Third,we give a algorithm of how to Simplifie the mesh.A medical images reconstruction system based on the improved MC algorithm is developed,which includes medical image pre-processing,segmenting and reconstructing modules.Examples of 3D reconstruction can keep the topology coherence,and represent the tissues or organs in realistically as well.
