Nowadays,most of the automatic testing methods are based on TPS.The method has many shorts,such as complex exploiting process,big economic devotion,and discommodious upgrade.Monte Carlo Simulation which is studied in the thesis can boost the efficiency of auto testing.The method is based on probability and statistics.For gaining the approximate result,Monte Carlo Simulation connects the problem with probability model and sampling by computer.In order to express the characteristic of probability statistics,the name of the automatic testing is named Monte Carlo Simulation,which Monte Carlo is the name of a gambling city,and it's also named Statistic Simulation or Random Sample Technique.These theories were proposed by S.M Ulam and J.Von Neumann in 1940's for the development of nuclear weapons.Its basic idea is solving problems in mathematics,physics,engineering technology and management aspects.Firstly,a probability model or random process is established, and the preferences of the model or process must be the key of the problem,such as probability distribution and statistical characteristic;then figuring out the statistical characteristic by observing the model or sampling.Besides,the average value is the approximate value of the problem.Some times the probability of physics background is used to solve the random problem.This method is acquiring the key to the problem by directly sampling of the very problem electronically.Monte Carlo simulation has a strong adaptability,which has been impacted little by the complex geometry.The convergence of the method refers to the probability of the sense of convergence,therefore the increase in dimensions will not affect its convergence speed,and the storage unit is also very abstemious. These are the advantages for dealing with complex issues.Many tested theories have make mention of Monte Carlo simulation.But application in practice is few.Base on practice,the thesis especially researched an automatic testing apparatus based on the Monte Carlo algorithm.It analyzed many circuits which included the Combinational Logic Circuits,Time Sequencing Circuits,circuits with RAM,circuits with Trigger,circuits with FPGA.Base on many experimentation for these circuits,have advanced Monte Carlo algorithm. The new method is more adapt to tested the circuits because being added the way of writing TPS programs,it has resolve automatic testing problem of all kinds of Digital circuits,and test circuits again,get experiment results.In practice,the results of new method accorded with the actual application.
