Research And Application Of Motion Object Detection And Tracking Technology In Video Surveillance

Video surveillance technology is widely used in safe guarding, information retrieving and control/schedule,which provides multiple services including produce process control,safe guarding of large-scale public accommodation,medical monitor and remote education.Intelligent video surveillance system uses computer vision technology to analyze and process real-time video automatically.With the development of computer vision technology and the improvement of the performance of computer hardware,it has become a major trend in video surveillance system to use real-time video process to aid monitor work.This paper focus on motion object detection and tracking technology, which are among the most important subjects in intelligent video surveillance field.According to the complexity of surveillance environment,variety of monitor object and the real-time performance requirement,the research on the related technology is necessary in order to enhance the effect of application in video surveillance.The research of this paper is trying to help to increase the efficiency of video surveillance system and eventually,realize an unattended-operation surveillance system This paper main regards the following research in basis of the research work on basic theory and key technology of motion object detection and tracking.1.Through the research on motion object detection,propose a self-adaptive background extraction algorithm according to the characteristic of the static scene in video surveillance system.Using morphological noise eliminating algorithm to retrieve the foreground area,and propose a time-combined simple connection algorithm according to the real-time feature of video surveillance system.2.In the aspect of motion object tracking,in basis of the former research,we make good use of the color characteristic and motion characteristic of the motion object and propose an improved Cam-shift motion object tracking approach to solve the cover problem effectively.3.This paper also introduces the design and realization of IP network based intelligent video surveillance system which gives an effective solution to apply motion object detection and tracking technology in video surveillance system.
