With the computer system function improving, the amount of storing data are rasing and the imformation are more and more complicated, consumer how to organize and administre information effectly become a important IT problem. The document system has revealed out a defect as a main part in OS for meomerying and managing the information, in facing the great capacity structure- rization and half structure-rization information. On the other hand, with the development of computer network and hardware, data exchange between the computer more frequently, transmission and exchange require the unified standard to norm the data. Language having appeared but expanding sign language under this background (XML), XML has self describes and strides over a platform. Therefore a large amount of information form with XML appears. It is necessary to store these documents into a database in order to carry out effective administration on XML document. Storage schemes have become an important research topic in the XML data management field.Mapping XML documents to relational tables and storing them into a traditional RDBMS will break down the tree structure of XML data and cause a decline in query efficiency. Therefore study one kind of memory system to store the XML data with one kind of natural way is a reality but meaningful thing. In recent years, the data base storing XML information has gradually appeared, but the XML data base technology is not so mature,It still has many defects.Bing aimed at these defects of the existed memory system, this paper presents a novel storage scheme for native XML databases. And have realized the simple inquiry function here on the basis of the memory scheme.Based on the index structure, this scheme directly stores XML nodes as records into a paged file to build up the persistent document object model, thus retaining the original tree structure of XML data. This scheme make use of symbol table and compression technology, which not only reduces the storage space overhead of XML documents, but also implements the fast serialization and access of XML nodes. As a general purpose native XML storage scheme, this storage methods supports the creation of various secondary indexes to improve the efficiency of XML query processing. By comparing the storage space, storage time, serialization time and node access time. The experimental results show that this storage method is a high performance storage scheme for native XML databases.
