Medical images,which reflect complex and abundant infOrmation of human histology,are difficult to process.But medical images processing is a key part to medical images research,and possesses enormous use value to the application and development of clinical medicine.Medical image mainly includes computed tomography(CT),ultrasound image and magnetic resonance image,etc.It is very important for quantities analysis,real-time monitoring and treatment scheduling,etc. When medical images are utilized to do medical analysis and diagnosis,it's usual,to extract the specific organs or region of interesting(ROI) to do further analysis better, the process is image segmentation.Traditional image segmentation methods can not satisfy us because of medical image's low resolution,low contrast and intrinsic noise. How we extract accurately and adaptively the information with the help of computer in order to meet the demand of medical image process is a pivotal problem which need be solved by medical expert.At first the essay introduces the image segmentation principle and the classification,and introduces some conventional segmentation methods.Then several classic active contour model algorithms and some algorithms that have been used in medical images are analyzed.Through the analysis the thesis finds that these methods have some shortage in some aspect.Then,the thesis carries on the work in following three aspects.First,due to the ant colony algorithm for the initial lack of information easy into local optimization solution,uses the artificial fish school algorithm to optimize it,simultaneously,integrates the aswarm degree function with the ant colony algorithm,increased the algorithm overall ability to traverse.Second,improving the traditional genetic algorithm and ant colony algorithm combined with the distribution of work methods,using genetic algorithm to optimize each iteration of the ant to the role of the entire search optimization process;Third,In order to prevent the Snake model to fall into it's partially most superior,this article applies the optimized ant colony algorithm to the Snake model to increase the global search.
