GIS (Geographic Information System) is a system software to describe and deal with the geographic information.Web-based geographic information system is a computer information system which store, process, analysis and display geographic information with network environment. The information system is known as the WebGIS, This is mainly because that most of the client applications use the WWW protocol. Its basic idea is to provide geographic information via the Internet so that users can get data and services of geographical information system through the browser.Since the 90's,20th century, the digital agriculture has been the most attractive area in international agriculture and agriculture engineering application, a growing number of new technology and research results appeared in the International Journal. So we use the technology of WebGIS, to build a platform for management of spatio-temporal information ,and it is an effective solution of practical problems in agriculture .It is a very significant research.The main work of my paper is from the project named"digital agriculture spatio-temporal information management platform". Its purpose is to construct the system which can manage and analysis the agriculture information uniformly. Based on the platform,we build soil test example and special data integration model.The main contents of this article:(1) Introduce the development and related background of GIS and WebGIS. We give a simple introduction of researches in the area of agricultural spatio-temporal information management at home and abroad. And this article outlines the job description. We give an overview of GIS, describe the differences between GIS and WEBGIS, introduce WebGIS, such as its work patterns and methods of the main structure. We make comparison of several WebGIS platforms, and point out that there are a number of shortcomings of the current WebGIS platform products.(2) Describe the design idea, architecture and the functional part .We also give a detailed description of the related technology used in the platform. PMGIS is a new platform which is designed by Knowledge Engineering Lab ,JLU. The architecture of PMGIS has three levels: application layer, network layer and service layer. We use Server API method to construct PMGIS. The mode of PMGIS is Public Map Service Model which uses Ajax technology to manipulate data in the browser and display tile maps(Tile+Ajax). PMGIS has some superiorities. It has less code. Also PMGIS provides targeted services and convenient development.(3)Design of the Agricultural spatio-temporal information management platform. We introduce the architecture and describe the main founctions of the platform. We also design the database and the develop method.In this paper, we design specification of the spatio-temporal data and spatio-temporal database. GML is a criterion based on XML. It's published by OpenGIS. Because GML is an open standard, it affords perfect resolve methods for information integtation.(4)Implementation of spatio-temporal information analysis module and information integration module. In this paper, the spatio-temporal information management platform includes agricultural spatio-temporal data analysis and the integration of spatial data. Platform focused on the related theories and implementation process of spatial data management and data analysis. We build the soil test example and spatial data integration model.Digital agriculture is the advanced stage that information technology applying in agriculture. In digital agriculture, all data is spacial, so GIS technology is the key technology of the digital agriculture.The part of spatio-temporal informationg anaylisis includes buffer analysis, theme map, map label, spatio-temporal information query, spatio-temporal information location and so on.The basic idea of the buffer analysis is that, we can build the band area in the surrounding of a spatial entity , to determine the impact of the surrounding environment or services range. Theme maps show one or more phenomenon and display the development of the map. We use the theme map to display the scope of the phenomenon or element.Spatio-temporal information query is based on the geographic information system described in the space entities, we can choose the entity which is required by clients. We can also locate the spatio-temporal information, if we have description of the point. We can mark for a number of locations on the map or rename attributes in order to find them quickly,and make the map meet the needs of users better.The digital agriculture spatio-temporal information management platform can afford some methods which can be used for building farmland geography information system, managing farmlands, planting crop and inspecting. The application system, based on it, can control the amount of the seeds and the pesticide which are used in every piece of farmland accurately. It also can improve the yield of the crop. At the same time, it can control the process of producing and reduce cost. As a result, it can guarantee the full use of the agriculture resource. With the use of knowledge engineering laboratory of Jilin University expert system technology, we add expert konwledge in agricultural platform, so that the platform has the intelligence capacity of reasoning and decision support. We have the implementation of expert system based on soil test example and provid a favorable basis for soil fertilization and cultivation of crops suitable.In order to make full use of existing data, reduce costs, we often need to use different sources of spatial data, so they need to be shared and integrated. Data integration, we use GML-based integration of heterogeneous multi-source model and ontology technologies, we provide an algorithm. We get the implementation of the multi-source, multi-scale spatial data sharing and integration model. And we have the special data integration model in my paper.In this paper, the work can be applied to agricultural information management areas. The platform we did is a new type of agricultural spatio-temporal information management platform, and has a certain theoretical significance and application value.
