Development Of Ultrasonic Level Sensor

Measurement is widely used in the fields of oil industry,chemical industry and meteorology.Among all the level measurement instruments,Ultrasonic level measuremen instrument is developed faster and used more widely.Distance measurement by ultrasonic is an effective and non-trouching method ,and be used in a great variety kinds of fields that need to find range or ascertain location parameters. In recent years with the high development of high speed digital processing and micro-processor ultrasonic level measurement instrument has obtained a great advancement.The paper introduces deeply the physical characteristic of the ultrasonic and the basic principle and the realizing method of the ultrasonic level measurement technology.On basis of absorbing and referring to the domestic and foreign advanced ultrasonic level measurement technology,the hardware and software are designed which is based on ATMEGA128. Also the paper analyzes thoroughly some interference and influence which may be in the measure system and gives solutions.Based on ATMEGA128,the paper designed a programmable ultrasonic level sensor,with temperature compensation ,the capability with outside.The following are the main points:1.The future and development history of ultrasonic leve sensor.And the following development is discussed.2. Papers introduced the ultrasonic ranging basic principles. Athorough analyses to the interferand the fators that might influence the precision of the system is put up, moreover,the results of the instrment is proved by corresponding movative approach.3.The hardwire circuit of ultrasonic level sensor is studied,including ultrasonic transmitter circuit , receiver circuit,LED display circuit,alarming circuit,and so on.4.The all program of the software and the process of each part is put forward.The max distance that ultrasonic level sensor is 3 m,the max error is 5 cm ,the sensor has many merits such as low cost,non-touching,fast detect,high precision,good reliability execellent adaptability.It has wide application prospect.
