Traditional road-side parking system based on parking-meter technology has some disadvantages, such as high cost, complicated maintenance and outdated management. In order to solve these problems, a new road-side parking system based on video image, GPRS network and DSP technology was designed. The new system is high efficient, low cost, intelligent management, simple operation, easy maintenance and good environmental adaptability, which has broad application prospects.The overall scheme and framework of the new parking system was designed and demonstrated. Furthermore, each sub-platform of parking management and control subsystem were accomplished and the information and network security technology were also researched.1. Parking management and control subsystem: SMS sub-platform design, interactive GPRS data center, network subscribing sub-platform design and service center sub-platform design. This dissertation illuminates each key technology respectively in detail by introducing the latest theories and different development patterns. These theories and accomplishments of sub-platform design are consistent with the system design principles. Also, the practicability and feasibility of overall system were proved.2. Information and network security research: security analysis of parking management subsystem and corresponding security strategy, security model design, algorithm design of authentication encryption module. An authentication protocol based on short message and a new independent one-time password mechanism were introduced. Importantly and originally, a new one-way Hash function based on Rijndael algorithm and a model of stream cipher generator based on round function were designed. These researches ensure the stability of system structure and the security of all sensitive data.
