In this paper, STP(Self-spreading Transport Protocols)system is studied. It is asystem in which communicating end hosts use untrusted mobile code to remotelyupgrade each other with the transport protocols that they use to communicate. Newtransports can be invoked by unmodified applications. By providing a late binding ofprotocols to hosts, STP removes many of the delays and constraints that are otherwisecommonplace when upgrading the transport protocols deployed on the Internet. A keychallenge is safety for both host and network resources. STP meets these challenges byleveraging recent research in type-safe languages and robust protocol design. It allowseach host to protect itself from untrusted transport code and to ensure that this codedoes not harm other network users.By studying the STP system, some ideas have been put forward : adding IdentityAuthentication to the Policy Manager of STP;adding simpler Senantic Authenticationto untrusted Protocol.
