Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) is a key technology of Industrial Vision Recognition. As an important preceeding step, the result of image smoothing will effect the accuracy of recognition directly. Image smoothing includes two parts: one is de-noising, another is to enhance details. Nonlinear method based on anisotropic partial diffusion equation becomes more popular in these years due to its ideal result between image de-noising and edge protection.In the P-M anisotropic diffusion equation, the monotone decreasing function with grey gradient is adopted as diffusion parameter. Thus, to some extent, can avoid edge blurring during de-noising, but still has some defects. Such as if noise is quite larges large too that will accordingly enhances noise, and the equation is ill-posed equation in the means of maths. How to take benefit of adaptive de-nosing ability according image details of anisotropic diffusion, and avoid disadvantage listed above at mean time is main target to deal with in this paper.In the paper, the author analyzes the reason leading to ill-poseness in lower order P-M equation by means of relationship between anisotropic diffusion and functional. Together with eulerequation to identify maths proof related with stage-result.We improve diffusion parameters which affect the denoising result with maths methods and testify result according removing spot and mix noise.Provide higher order process of improved equation and to testify if it can meet with eulerequation.Test all of result with Matlab stimulation. During the experiment, should adopt some different kind of noise in actual image to make sure of stopping time, model parameter and other items.At last, conclusions of several kinds of diffusion strategy, and some propositions about the direction and contents of further research are suggested at the end of this thesis.
