Three Dimensional (3D) information acquisitions is the technology on researching how to obtain the surface 3D information of an object rapidly, digitalizing 3D model of the object. The 3D information includes space position, color, and structure. With the rapidly development of electronic technology and computer science technology, obtaining 3D information of the object is always in demand. Therefore 3D information acquisitions have numerous applications in many fields such as: industry, movie, rag trade, police system, etc, it is one of the significant research directions in information technology.The current 3D information acquisition technology is inherited from Computer vision theory Computer vision refers to the process of using camera to capture the image of the environment, converted to digital vector/signals,then having this information processing by computer The destination of computer vision is to make the computer capable to identify three dimension environmental information from two dimension images. Then computer can be responded and detected the geometry information of the object in space, including shape, position, gesture and movement, and take actions like describing, storing, identifying and analyzing this information. Camera calibration is the technology that governs the relationship between the point on two dimension image captured by camera and the point in three dimension space. The'3D scanner 3DLCS'is 3D information capturing devices designed based on computer vision theory and developed based on our group. In this thesis, we deeply study the calibration methodology of 3D scanner 3DLS-200 which can capture the 3D information of bullets and 3D scanner 3DLS-300 which even can capture human body and other object.First, this assay introduces the history and actuality of the computer vision theory,, then give a survey on the researches and applications of three dimension information acquisition methodology, finally gives out an analyses of major technical features of'3D scanner 3DLCS'.On the aspect of the camera calibration modeling, this assay presents the cameral models of linearity and non-linearity, make some analysis on the major methodology of calibration like traditional method and self–calibration method.Then it is an exhaustive discuss on the calibration method for laser structured-light scanning system (3DLS-200) and single plane module calibration scanning system (3DLS-300).
