Middleware is a very effective and high performance framework for distributed application integration within heterogeneous environment. But with the development of applications, a growing class of large scale scenarios require real-time support, such as military command and control system, telecommunication monitor system and multimedia system. Therefore, the research of the real-time middleware becomes a hot and difficult problem in the field of middleware study recently.Real-Time middleware needs to provide foreseeable of the point to point, which puts forward the new challenge to the traditional middleware, but in order to implement the aim of the foreseeable of the point to point, the real-time middleware resources management is an important part of this middleware and plays an important role in the real-time middleware, because the real-time middleware controls the resources strictly. On one hand, real-time middleware must guarantee the full exploitation of the resources, on the other hand real-time middleware must provides adaptive resources management mechanism in order to meet the QoS demand of real-time application..The ARTs-ORB is a real-time middleware developed by the HuaXiang software research & development center, base on real-time CORBA1.0 specification, and involves in real-time adaptive resources management mechanism. It is divided into real-time resources pool and adaptive resources management mechanism.Base on resource manages strategy of ARTs-ORB, the resources management of the real-time middleware is introduced. Firstly, the total structure of the ARTs-ORB, module and the process of ARTs-ORB is given. The position and function in the whole system of ARTs-ORB are gived, and the two parts of ARTs-ORB resources management mechanism are introduced.
