Research On Interest-Based P2P Information Retrieval Mechanism

As the direct source of knowledge, shared text documents are a kind of valuable resources in file-sharing P2P systems. In order to make full use of text documents in P2P systems, we have to implement some efficient retrieval schemes. Therefore, information retrieval in P2P system (P2P IR) is a worthful research topic.It is an interest group formation scheme based resource description to find similar peers by combining the topic model technique and fuzzy theory. Different with other schemes, our scheme form P2P interest group by utilizing the resource features based mechanism is automatic, autonomous and workable in pure P2P systems. Because the peer is likely to have many topics, we give a document Clustering algorithm. P2P information retrieval mechanism based on interesting group can expands from a topic to lots of topics.It is an information retrieval scheme based on P2P interesting group. The retrieval mechanism is to form interest clusters in interesting group, give intra-interest cluster search scheme and inter-interest cluster search scheme and inter-interest group search scheme. In order to reduce the searching cost and improve the retrieval performance, information retrieval scheme can select part of peers which are more relevant to the query to conduct the retrieval task.It can form a short-cut in peers inter-interest group,and a peer can join anther an interest group by utilizing short-cut peer.Simulations show, on the assumption that P2P interesting group is formed,and combining method of interest cluster forming,peer selection and short cut forming,P2P information retrieval mechanism based on interesting group could help to improve the performance of document searching.
