With the development of internet and digital communication technique, people pay more and more expectation to the future wireless mobile communication systems. Wideband, packetized, synthetic and personalized digital communication are expected. Among lots of wideband technique, wireless mobile communication is the most important part of the future communication systems. Orthogonal Frequency-Dvision Multiplexing and its related techniques Orthogonal Frequency-Dvision Multiplexing Access are widely accepted as a PHY key technique in B3G or 4G systems. In OFDMA system, the first step is searching a base station to implement its access for UE,this process is called cell searching. After succeeding in cell searching,UE will get the information of downlink synchronization its location message in the cell, it is very important for next access. As the first step of UE into OFDMA ststem, cell search arithmetic not only needs robust, but cell search time requires enough short to implement fast downlink synchronization.Based on the research of OFDMA technique, this paper study the cell search arithmetic in LTE frame. Cell search scheme and flow is proposed both in single and multi antenna mode. Some key technique such as estimation of frequency offset, synchronization capture and track, downlink clock synchronization, cell ID identify, transmit diversity etc. are also described in detail. Simulation result shows the better performance of the scheme proposed in the paper. At the final, the author summarizes the main work and indicates some problem which is further study.
