| Visual system can recognize thousands of colors in the real world. But as we all know, these colors in retina only be separated into red, green, blue three kinds of basic color. So color reconstruction become an important issue of visual information processing. The theory has two problems, one is where the reconstruction, and the other is to be redeveloped. There have always been controversial about the position of reconstruction. Some believe that reconstruction in the lower level of cognitive processing, some believe that at the senior level, and some believe that every level of visual pathway have contributed to color. These arguments have not been the same views.To explore this issue, we will use sensory memory research and information processing on the three-dimensional way to introduce color reconstruction. We design two groups of the psychological physics experiment to test the two issues. In the first group experiment, we study the level of integration processing is the single or dual-channel level by contrast monocular and binocular observation of the results of observation. We use the two groups experimental results to analysis finalization of the color integration in the junior level or senior level. In the second experiment, we study the time of color integration by changing the presentation of two basic colors, to determine the time period of color integration.As for the integration of color where positioning is, there is no conclusion at present.Analysis of the integrated color can be seen in the experiments. In the integration of different colors, the time for the duration of colors is limit time of sensory memory. This can be enlightenment, Color integration may be related sensory memory.At the same time, we establish this experiment's idiographic methods on the high- accuracy technology and the display-in-single-monitor method. We use a micro-process, it controls every time condition in several milliseconds, and to count time by the unit of"screen", and a series of innovative study was carried out. The main content is as follows:1. Through the observation of the tests to the different colors those show in different location of the computer monitor in the same or in very short and different time periods, we find that they can't be fused stable color. This indicates that color integration produces prior to binocular-activated cortical cell.2. When the two objects of different colors were displayed in the same physical location of the time, we find that the two colors can integrate in particular experiment. This indicates color integration related with sensory memory. The maximum time of color integration interval is around 80 ms. As retinal integration time is very short, and the color integration experiment still can be integrated in 80 ms. This indicates that color integration is after the retina.3. A criterion was established based between color integration and sensory memory. Because the displaying time of color duration and ISI were controlled in limit time of sensory memory, it is clear that color integration occurred in sensory memory and related to sensory memory process. So color integration is not come from of senior level. |
