The convenience and quickness of e-mail makes it widely applied on the internet, besides it is also the most important tool for the exchange of information. With the explosive growth of dependence on e-mail, the demand of authentication and confidentiality is also increasing. The openness of the Internet makes e-mail transmission on the Internet easily to be attacked. In order to ensure the security of e-mail, it is a subject to study and apply the latest cryptography, and design the secure e-mail system, which is worth researching.This paper analyses and compares the secure e-mail system based on identity-encrypted and the current mainstream of secure e-mail system based on the certificate public key cryptography .What's more, this paper has revealed the difference between the traditional mechanisms of PKI and the mechanisms based on identity code system. This paper describes the basic principle of symmetric cryptosystem and public-key cryptosystem, summarizes several public-key cryptosystem basic scheme. Identity-based encryption as an implementation scheme on the public key cryptosystem, the paper discusses the algorithm of identity-based encryption emphatically.In the analysis and research on Boneh-Franklin scheme based on bilinear pairing mapping on Elliptic Curves and Cocks scheme based on Quadratic Residues Problem on number theory, new scheme of multiple identities and distributed PKG were put forward. Finally, an identity-based encryption security e-mail system were designed and implemented, realization of encryption and decryption of the mail message, key generation and secure transmission of information, etc. |
