| CNPC is a large-scale state-owned entERPrise in China. Its start of E-commerce can be dated to 2001, which's result of internationization of international oil giants.In 2006,ERP system is introduced and put into use.The core business of ERP systems is to optimize the allocation of inernal resources and help an entERPrise to improve its productivity and market responses,while E-commerce is focused on upgrading communication of different entERPrises. So both are same important for an entERPrise to realize management informationization.It's a trend and necessary to integrate E-commerce with ERP .E-commerce website of CNPC(www.energyahead.com), a B2B transaction website opened to the entire energy industry, is a full functional trading platform where CNPC conduct its electronic trading transactions.It proves to be effective in saving of purchase cost and improvement of transaction efficiency and operation transparency betwen suppliers and CNPC. ERP system is a management system under development,whose core business is financial management, so it's key to rationalize the internal relationship and improve the internal management efficiency. In view that the procurement data,sales data and financial data are not merging, and database based on two systems can't be fully shared, the proposal of integrating two systems is put forward.How to solve the integration of E-commerce and ERP has been our concern. This paper mainly discussed the relationship of E-commerce and ERP, essence and feasibility of integration, and problems possibly encountered during integration. Some relevant integration method and strategy in respect of these problems are addressed.In order to solve integration of ERP and E-commerce, an integration model is established, which enable data after integration to be transmitted timely and accurately.When data is flowed from front end E-commerce systems to backstage ERP systems, it formed a net, via which the data is transfered.For the entERPrise, E-commerce and ERP like the front and rear relation, both are closely linked.Thus the commection of external entERPrise with internal entERPrise is tightened.The original E-commerce system covers two functions,which are E-marketplace and E-procurement, among which the E-procurement system offers four service options including catalog–based procurement, negotiation procurement, RFQ-based procurement and reverse auction procurement.Current E-marketplace adopts a user membership management system which provides both fixed-catalog-price and dynamic trading platforms. According to their operation in recent years,it's found the conventional E-commerce system is not well functioned and only catalog-based procurement system is fully employed, so to architect the E-commerce/ERP framework can base on the followings. The premise of integration of ERP and E-commerce is converging procurement platforms,which required transformation of traditional procurement pattern while cancelling the division of E-marketplace/ E-procurement. The material procurement and E-sale system are constrcuted in three layers: internal integration, external integration and total integration,thus all procurement information and operation can be conducted in a unified platform. By converging platforms, functions such as updating supplier management system,making information public,realizing information sharing,enhancing financial settlement, unifying the material code ,material term and inventory stock,and combining E-sale with production and financial system ,are all needed to be improved ,so as to ensure smooth running of the integration process.To realize the integration of ERP and E-commerce,two sides are needed to be considered. One is to reserve the oringinal information based on ERP system, and the other is to upgrade the ERP system. The oringinal ERP developer is different from developer in extending ERP to E-commerce which may lead to the problems like application consolidation and hardware configuration. E-commerce system currently adopted by CNPC is developed by IBM, while ERP system is co-developed by SAP and IBM, so IBM Company can provide strong support for both systems.The integration of E-commerce and ERP is a relatively complicated process, which invoved organization restructuring, data sharing, personnel adjustment,and software/hardware system remodelling, so more efforts in terms of materials, finances, human resources, distribution and sales are needed to be put to fulfill this project. The integration is likely frault with new problems such as lag of management concepts,misunderstanding of project planning,non-implementation of work flow,ignorance of top leaders and lack of uniformity, integrity and accuracy of data.In order to visualize a proper development of this project,a unified platform based on two systems should be constrcuted and personnel training prior to implementation should take into consideration. Based on understanding of E-commerce and ERP and analysis on development of ERP made by CNPC,it's deemed the introduction of integration of ERP and E-commerce into entERPrise is not only a technical innovation but also a change of management model,which provide a powerful support for online business.Due to the conflict of ERP system modules with E-commerce,special attention is put on the redundancy of function and interface problems. Issues like safety,payment and credibility and personalized management of CNPC is gradually standing with development of internet,therefore to work out these problems step by step is important.The author of this paper has long been engaged in material management.In view of current problems, some strategy and countermeasures related to integration of ERP and E-commerce are put forward.This paper firstly analyzed the enviroments,status quo where ERP system is used in CNPC and existing problems during the process of system construction, then discussed the relationship of ERP and E-commerce. In order to maximize the entERPrise management efficiency, it's essencial to integrate ERP and E-commerce to help the upgrading informationization of entERPrise. |
