With the development of science and technology, color video is inseparable from the computer field. Color video technology lies in the development of color video compression. This is because the uncompressed color video sequences can be occupied in the larger storage space. It is very difficult to make these color video images to be transferred or stored in the network. However, if we will be compressed color video images, the upload or download of color video can be more convenient in the network with less storage space.From the perspective of information theory, color video image compressed is because the internal video in the time -space relevance. For a given set of color video data, visual observation of people just do not see the relevance of the data. But from the statistical point of view, the data do exist between the very large relevance. For instance, the video sequences have relevance in the same frame and frame-frame. In this paper the use of color video sequences is the relevance of time- space to remove redundant information in order to get a better compression results.With the rapid development of video technology, the specific encoding methods have more than a hundred species. For example, Huffman Code, Arithmetic Code, Run-Length Code, Predictive coding, Orthogonal transform coding, Wavelet transform coding.In addition, in order to express color video sequences as fully as possible, our laboratory has made 3D matrix model to express color video. Using 3D matrix to show that color video, the various relevancies of color video are expressed in a complete unification of the mathematical model. Theory applies to the color coding of video images to address the traditional compression algorithm failed to consider the inter-frame color video images related issues, so that color video compression ratio has been further enhanced.The main content of this paper is the study of color video compression. But different from the past, this article will make 3D matrix transformation extend to 4D matrix in order to promote more effective application of video compression technology. In this paper, based on 4D nth matrix of orthogonal transformation, we defined the 4D nth matrix of orthogonal transformation. It is compatible with the previous 2D matrix multiplication. At the same time, we found a 4D-M-Walsh with the principle of Walsh. And we summed up the general structure of the matrix formula in order to improve the efficiency of image compression. Finally, this paper lists out the performance of the 4-D nth order matrix orthogonal transform by using Visual C ++ 6.0 under Windows environment. The experimental results of our algorithm have shown its better concentration for energy, which definitely proves the effectiveness of our algorithm.In this paper, the 4D-M-Walsh belong to innovative research, and it can be improved and expanded in some place. The 4D-M-Walsh is obtained through the Walsh sequence which is integral elements of the matrix. So it has become a new research to find of 4D nth Walsh orthogonal matrix theory. At the same time, this article is only the application of the theory of color video sequences with the lossless compression, so further research can be that the 4D matrix extend theory applies to a higher dimension of lossless compression of video signals. It is multi-dimensional extension of nth matrix.
