The coordination system of UTCS and VRGS is based on the traffic flow information, and the fix traffic detectors are the traffic flow information gathering facilities, so it is very important to research on how to consolidate and reasonably configure the fix traffic detectors. Doing the relationship analysis about traffic flow data of different cross-section, can support us theory foundation on how to reasonably configure the fix traffic detectors. Finally it can integrate the data of the coordination system of UTCS and VRGS.Former optimization methods of fix traffic detector arrangement which is based on the traffic flow relationship only analyzed the traffic flow itself, not taking the influence of section spatial site into account. Therefore, in space, the section with high value will near to another section with high value, and the section with low value will near to another section with low value. So this paper introduces the concept of geography, analyzes the spatial self-relationship, and optimizes the arrangement of detectors by building the spatial autoregression model and its prediction model, then calculates the data reliability of the detectors in the road network.Furthermore, this paper creates a synthesized evaluating system about the arrangement of fix traffic detectors. First, it analyzes a system from the detectors performance, cost, external demand influence and the detectors data reliability, then it determines the weight of each sub-index by utilizing the expert marking method, finally builds a analytic hierarchy model to do some assess. This paper analyzes the traffic flow spatial autoregression model using the traffic datas from the Beijing urban expressway data in peak hour, finds out the program which has the minimum relative error. At last, this paper gives the shortcoming of this research and the direction of the following research.
