With the fast development of logistics and retailing, the warehouse industry grows quickly in recent years. It is the high time that we should make the mechanization, automatization and modernization of storage become truth. Radio Frequency Identification technology with its completely advantage, considerable progressing and exhaustless potential has replaced the barcode technology and become the main cooperative partner of warehouse industry. This thesis studies the development trend of Radio Frequency Identification technology in recent years and explores its prospect and application mode in warehouse industry. Development of portable RFID equipment and application of anti-collision algorithm in portable RFID device have been mainly studied in the thesis.The main research work in this thesis includes:1. Analyses the development trend of RFID technology in recent years and studies the application prospect of dual frequency technology in warehouse industry.2. Introducing cellular network in storage technology and studying the application mode.3. Completes the hardware and software development of portable RFID equipment based AVR microcontroller. Utilizing the superiority of On-line simulation and programming of AVR microcontroller, we make the equipment easy to maintain and redevelop.4. Apply the anti-collision algorithm in the development of portable RFID equipment. The application result has been verified by the experiment.5. From introducing Modularization Thinking in the development of portable RFID equipment, using standard interface and utilizing the superiority of On-line simulation and programming of AVR microcontroller, we make portable RFID equipment no longer rigidly confined within single protocol or single frequency and enhance its universality.
